Rural Community Infrastructures Work (RCIW)
This program has income generation activities and thus have financial literacy, financial management. Women’s groups, farmers’ groups, and other youth have been oriented in financial literacy and management. It motivated elderly people for adult education/learning and then financial aspects. The management of irrigation/drinking water supply system/community road management, maintenance became easier after this orientation. So financial inclusion is the most necessary and effective component of the program to change the lives of the people;

With partnership of the Poverty Alleviation Fund, Himalayan Community Resource Development Centre, Kalikot has been launched “Poverty Alleviation through Integrated Development” program since 2063 in 4 VDCs ; Sukatiya, Mugraha, Gela and Odanaku. In the end of this phase, 83 Cooperativeshave been registered in PAF, 82 Cooperatives conducted Income Generation sub project activities. 31 Community infrastructure development worked have been completed. Every Cos have own saving fund, they conduct monthly saving meeting and have a VDC network among themselves. They are active in supporting the social mobilizers, conducting regular monthly meeting, VDC level planning. Every Cos has their own opened Bank account for conduct financial activities. 83 Cos are highly active. Animal Insurance committee has been formed among 4 Cos of Sukatiya VDC. They have been trained on multiple aspects of community developments; viz: Social mobilization, mapping, planning, household survey, WASH, financial management, project management, social audit, public hearing, client exist survey as well and have been applied in their communities and works.
